I’m Dr. J.R.Corns, from Edmonton, Canada. After studying Biomedical Engineering at Imperial College London, I studied Medicine at the University of Warwick, before working as a Doctor in Scotland for 2 years and then moving on to Australia where I currently work. It was while I was working in Scotland that I realized – wow – there sure are some interesting patients out there, all with their own individual stories. I’ve decided to start writing  medical short stories  inspired by the wonderfully different people I meet – some entirely true, and some loosely based on real patient encounters . Most stories will be comedic, as I love to draw out the comedy of everyday situations, but there will be the occasional dramatic story as well. I hope you enjoy.
